Let me preface by saying I have never been here and the last time I went to a spa was about 10 years ago and last lead meditation experience was about 6-7 years ago. I didn't know what to expect from here but I wanted get a kick start back into self care and this seemed like the place to go. I ended up choosing their Nocturne Full Snow Moon retreat meditation and fire ceremony release. While I was excited to go I never expected to walk out feeling so refreshed and renewed. They are located in downtown CDA with a pretty easy to reach location. This was a nighttime event in a Sunday and parking was easy. They have a paid lot behind the business or street parking. Because they are located on the corner street parking was very easy and accessible. The space itself is very open and airy. It had a modern feel and a great variety of items to purchase without it feeling uncomfortable. The night started with a guided meditation, followed by a fire release ceremony. Everyone got to have their own time to let go without the feeling on anyone else's space. Afterwards we gathered to make our own infused body oil based on scents we selected ourselves. What followed was basically a much needed girls night that included drinks (purchased separately), open time in the steam room and a pleasant social gathering that allowed people to mingle and make new friends. One thing I want to highlight is the steam room. I personally have never been a fan of steam rooms, saunas or a hinge if that nature but the steam room here is just so relaxing and incredible. While obviously hot it didn't feel overwhelming or stuffy. It was very easy to carry a conversation with others, escape for a cool down and then rejoin for another round. In looking at their services I found the prices to be very reasonable and their monthly membership is something I am now considering. Also the price point of the items in the gift shop/ lobby area are comparable to online. Big plus in my book. The next day, in doing my own research I discovered that the lady who actually ran the meditation is the owner. She did a great job and was very I knowledgeable. This really impressed me. I love supporting someone who I can see invest themselves into their business. So would I recommend this place? Absolutely Something I forgot to mention. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Lots of lockers, a great area to get yourself cleaned up and ready to go back out but the best thing is the robes the provide are size friendly.

My sisters and I did a Luxe Spa Party to celebrate a special birthday. All of the technicians were great but wanted to give a special shoutout to our esthetician, Kendra. One of the very best facials I have ever had. In addition to using wonderful products, she was professional and knowledgeable with an extremely calm demeanor. Such a relaxing experience. Highly recommended. And ask for Kendra!!!

I would literally come here every day if I could. I am a nursing student, so self-care and relaxation is a must. I love their monthly membership which also gives discounts on additional services. When I go here, I usually do their 90 min massage or their Lux facial (when you go Lux, you'll never go back). Their customer service is hands-down the best, and I'm the kind of person that's constantly trying to make life easier for those around me, and they always insist on me letting go and letting them 100% take care of me. Sometimes I'll just pay for their day-sauna use especially on rainy, winter, or cold days. CDA location also tends to be less busy in their waiting area than the post falls location, which I prefer since there's less spa traffic/is more relaxing. They use amazing products (I ended up buying the moisturizer they use for their facials and it makes my skin feel SOO hydrated and healthy). Literally couldn't recommend this place enough.

Highlands Day Spa and Emily are wonderful co-hosts for our monthly Tea and Tarot pop up. She consistently provides a warm, welcoming, and grounded space for gathering and meaningful connection. Emily brings a calm, professional presence to every event and is deeply attentive to the flow, atmosphere, and guest experience. Her care, intention, and reliability elevate the entire evening, and our guests regularly comment on how comfortable and supported they feel. We truly value this partnership and highly recommend Highlands Day Spa.

I visited Highlands Day Spa in Post Falls for a massage. During the visit, there was a disagreement about billing. While I stated I was willing to pay, the owner told us we could be accused of "theft of services." I tried to clarify the charges and pay for the service, but the conversation escalated unnecessarily and felt confrontational. Being threatened with a criminal accusation during a routine billing discussion was surprising and very uncomfortable. Before booking, I strongly recommend asking detailed questions about pricing, policies, and charges so everything is completely clear. If the owner would like to review the audio recording of the conversation and resolve the situation, I would be open to discussing it. I hope the business improves how customer concerns are handled in the future. The owner was very rude on the phone enforcing a policy.

I went into downtown Coeur d'Alene location for a monthly special (body scrub, mud wrap and massage with Joni). I have been to Post Falls location a few years ago and I really like the improvements that were implemented at the new CDA spa. The sounds, the lighting, the scents - everything was very relaxing and toned down, just like a spa should be. The front desk (Kierra) was very courteous and professional, check-in felt smooth, and my massage was fantastic. I like a lot of pressure to get all the knots out of my upper back area and Joni did not disappoint. For a 2 hour session with pretty high level of involvement by the massage therapist, I thought it was well worth the price.

I highly recommend The Highlands to friends & family on a regular basis. I’ve always enjoyed both the post falls location & the CDA location as well. I send my husband for messages & visit when I have company for nail services. They always have monthly specials also so trying new services is addicting!

I don't normally write bad reviews but considering how the owner talked to me and handled a loyal customer I feel that I need to write this review in hopes for improvements in the future. I had been going to get my haircut there for a while and loved going there. Great haircuts and great experiences. I had always called and schedule my appointments with no issues what so ever but recently called and the owner picked up. She requested my credit card information. I nicely explained that since my credit card info had been stolen twice in the past that I didn't feel comfortable providing that and she can pull up my account and see that i have never once been late and always shown up and before i could even finish my sentence she cut me off and yelled "since that is clearly asking too much I am canceling and good luck" and then hung up on me. I don't feel like that reaction is acceptable and I was being very nice. Maybe could have found a different way (even coming in and paying cash to reserve the appointment would have worked for me) but to yell at me and hang up doesn't make me want to return or support

Sarah was absolutely amazing. I had been in tears due to my hair being done so poorly at another salon. When I say bad, it was bad. I don’t know how Sarah did what she did, but it was nothing short of magic. She was very honest about what she was seeing and what we needed to do. She was very personable and I felt relaxed from the minute I sat down. I could not recommend her enough. The only critique I have is that Sarah needs a better space to work out of. I could only imagine how much better it would be for her to have a better space. Edit: Sarah is no longer with Highlands so I wouldn’t give the same 5 stars so I adjusted the stars based on that. The five stars was strictly for my experience with Sarah. The fact that salon also only copied part of my review, leaving out the critique, and put it on their website is off putting.
