We have stayed at the comfort inn & suites in Shakopee previously. Since our last visit my mobility has diminished. I got a handicap accessible room and the king size bed was so close to the wall you couldn't get around the bed to get in and you had to brush past the curtains and the air conditioning/ heating unit to do so. The bed was so high it was almost impossible to get in and out of for me. I am 5'4 and have mobility issues. I don't know why there would there be a super high bed against the wall in a accessible room. The beds were uncomfortable the faucet in the shower dripped all night long. There was something sharp in the carpet on the edge of the door coming out of the restroom and I cut my heel. Also the bench in the shower had a sharp screw in it and they brought in a portable shower chair but I could not move it into the shower. So I stood holding on to the grab bars the best I could. We chose this hotel for its location and friendly staff on previous stays. Also the bed we had previously was very comfortable and had ample room around it okay Disappointed we will not return.

The smell of smoke when you walk into the hotel needs to be addressed asap. It is the first thing I noticed walking in and made me want to leave immediately. Of course our room was then on first floor and even the room smelled. Had them move us to the second floor which appeared better.

This hotel has a family ran feel to it. One good thing is request that other hotels may complain about this one will have no issue accommodating. If you need a little bit of late check out they don't sit there and tell you how much they're going to charge you or tell you they can't do it they pretty much always say yes. Usually a pretty good value.

I had a really pleasant experience at this motel. The room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. The bed was cozy, the linens were fresh, and everything felt well-maintained. Staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived, making check-in quick and easy. The location was convenient, with easy parking and nearby places to grab food. It was quiet at night, so I got a great night’s sleep. For the price, the value is excellent—simple, comfortable, and exactly what you want from a good motel stay. I’d definitely stay here again!
