My chiropractic journey started back around 1987 up in Golden Valley, MN where my wife and I had bought our first house. That winter, I was doing what many other homeowners were doing, shoveling snow. Prior to this time, I had never experienced back issues. But things changed on that winter day. I bent over to grab another shovelful of show, but I was unable to straighten back up. Something popped, and I was left in the driveway on my knees, struggling to drag myself back to the house. A visit to urgent care resulted in a prescription for muscle relaxants and orders to “stay off your feet for a week”. Well that didn’t work at all, so I took my wife’s advice and went to her chiropractor. After just 3 visits in that first week, I went from completely immobile to being back on my feet again. I was amazed at the results. Since then, I have experienced an event about once a year. The difference is that I can usually feel it coming before it actually hits, so I take the initiative and immediately get into Marty Chiropractic. After just a couple of visits, the issue is resolved and I am back to normal, although some people argue that I am far from normal, but what do they know? We started with Marty Chiropractic when we moved to Apple Valley in 1990 and have been with them ever since. Dr’s Kari, Chris and Kristina, and now with Dr Drew! Thirty six years and counting! To try to keep ahead of any issues, I have started doing a maintenance program with Drew, twice a month, to keep things moving the way they are intended. Is my back perfect? No, but checking in every 2 weeks helps to minimize any future issues, to catch them in advance and assure that they do not become major incidents. I truly believe that. I have evolved from being a skeptic of Chiropractic to a believer!

Professional and knowledgeable, Dr Drew went above and beyond to get me in asap so I can keep my buisness running and jobs on the schedule. Also If you or anyone you know is dealing with a bulging or herniated disk and told you need a decompression surgery, Give Dr Drew a shout first and give the decompression table process a try! I wish I had known about it before I had my surgeries 10+ years ago. Highly recommend Dr. Drew at Marty Chiropractic in Burnsville! You will not be disappointed.

I went to Marty Chiropractic due to overwhelming pain in my right shoulder blade that felt like a pinched nerve. I was having difficulty moving, working, and sleeping due to the pain. The pain radiated across my shoulder, the right side of my neck, and my right arm. I wasn't able to focus at work and I also didn't want to move. Marty Chiropractic was able to schedule me in the day I messaged, asking for help. The chiropractic care first helped to loosen up the shoulder blade area which helped me to feel less tense. The stretches, which were shown to me, helped bring back mobility while the nerve pinch was healing. The sessions helped me feel more relaxed. The care also helped to improve shoulder and neck muscles. Marty Chiropractic helped me through my month plus of pain while I was forced to deal with useless urgent care cold pack recommendations and extended time waiting to get in to see my doctor, which kept being rescheduled. I continue to go back for treatment to help keep me flexible, especially since I tend to do awkward reaching in my job and while working on house projects.

My first session with Marty Chiropractor (Dr. Drew Pfaff) was very informative! General movement examination tests were done with an X-ray to fully get the scope of any trouble areas or needs for adjustment. He was direct and honest about what I could do IF (no pressure) I wanted to make adjustments. Based on my experience, he gave great advice and honest suggestions based my needs. Great session and would recommend to interested future clients.

I appreciate Dr. Drew's approach to patients, listening and watching you as an individual and not treating everyone the same. You can tell he is really passionate about helping out the "weekend warriors" to be able to be active with activities and sports when they aren't typically active during the week, and as a physical therapist, I love collaborating with other practitioners whose goal is to help people get active! Drew is kind and welcoming and makes you feel comfortable right away! Highly recommend!
