I happened to be in town for something else, and since it was worth the short 2-hour trip plus time for a root touch-up, I booked an appointment at True North Salon & Spa. When I called, every staff member was booked—except the owner, who ya know, took me in. I'm from Florida and travel a lot for work, so I’ve got plenty of horror stories about getting my roots done—always a gamble, even after researching salons. But this time? Nailed it. My hair turned out absolutely phenomenal. Not only did I get my roots done, but I also added some highlights. Ashley worked her magic—she’s a fairy in disguise, turning my hair into something truly stunning. Huge thanks to Ashley! I always say my energy comes from my hair, and she definitely gave me that boost. The whole team was super welcoming and friendly, making me feel right at home. My experience was unforgettable. While waiting, I couldn’t resist browsing their vintage-inspired shop—loads of classic styles and designer handbags at prices that won’t break the bank. The vibe at the salon is nostalgic and totally off the beaten path. I’ve finally found a place here that will blow my expectations out of the water during my stay. Honestly, I’d be selfish not to share my epic experience at True North Salon & Spa. It was totally worth the drive.

Went for a facial. I've never had one, but spent the last few weeks getting pampered and thought a facial might be something new to try. Chava (pronounced like Ha-vah) was so sweet and wonderful to me. She walked me through the process and let me know how everything was working to help clear my skin (though she told me I had good skin to begin with!). I highly recommend Chava and the True North Salon and Spa in general!

I have been in a ponytail and hat for several years, and decided it was time to get a good cut. I had never been here before or met Ashley. The most succinct way I can describe my experience here is, transformative. Nineteen inches was cut from my hair and I have never felt like the best, most polished version of myself. She saw ME hiding under all my hair and with her magic she found me and showed me to the world. I could not be more grateful! I highly recommend to anyone- come here and experience the skill, joy, and awesome energy that this Salon and Ashley brings. I feel for the first time in a long time I look as awesome as I am. Thank you Ashley! We will be back!

Set in a old schoolhouse, where every step on the old wooden floors creaks and groans, resides the True North Salon. Normally they do not take walk ins, but early Tuesday I was in luck. Isabel had an opening and she went to work. The haircut was great, but her work on the ears and the unibrow was what made her service special. I will book in advance when I return next year.

I’ve been seeing Ashley at True North Salon & Spa for nearly a decade, and she is pure magic with scissors and color. Every appointment feels less like an errand and more like a recharge for my soul. Her salon is absolutely adorable—cozy, relaxing, and welcoming. It doesn’t just look beautiful; it feels like home. Ashley is the most talented stylist in the Northland, hands down. I have been going to True North since Ashley opened the salon. I love the atmosphere and the love and support you can feel when you walk in the door. The stylists support each other and love what they do. They also listen to your hair concerns and/or goals and make customized, tailored recommendations just for you. The scalp and hand massage are also a huge bonus.

First time in True North Salon and it was a great experience! Katie greated me when I walked in with a smile and offered something to drink. Stacy just met me, after a short discussion she took me to the sink for an amazing wash and scalp massage. ( I would make an appointment just for this). She cut and styled my hair better than I could ever imagine for just meeting me. We enjoyed a pleasant conversation and she made me feel like I've been there before. I would highly recommend True North Salon for any styling needs you might have. I will definitely be coming back!

Ashley and the rest of the True North crew always do a fantastic job! I am more than happy with my haircuts and color here and they add so much to the experience by offering the best scalp massages, hand massages, tea, and a variety of other services. Each visit will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed, and your hair will look amazing. I highly recommend!

I brought my granddaughters to True North Salon for a haircut and they were so pleased with how it went! While one waited, they set the other one up with coloring pages and a cute little table and stool. The older child loved that Emily took the time to explain what products she used and curled her hair. They are excited to come back!
