Searched high and low for treatment like that which Shawna provides. The 1 negative reviewer is missing out on a stellar experience because they lack the skill to look in the mirror at their own faults - nice reply to their stupid review, Shawna. The world truly needs more massage therapists like her.

Passionate, Knowledgeable, Clinical Massage Writing reviews for exceptional businesses and individuals like John Inouye at Mt. Hood Massage Works always feels bittersweet. There's a part of me that wishes to keep such treasures a secret. However, the work John and his team do is far too valuable to keep to myself. As an avid runner who has relied on massage therapy for years for both issues and regular maintenance, I was concerned that moving to Gresham would mean long trips to Portland for quality sports and clinical massages. My concerns were quickly dispelled after my first session with John. He was able to understand my body's history and issues as if reading a map, identifying the root causes of my discomfort immediately. John's dedication to my health has been unwavering over the years. He has skillfully assisted me with back problems, sciatica, and even issues stemming from my time in the Army. John stands out as the most proficient clinical massage therapist I've ever encountered. His knowledge is only surpassed by his passionate commitment to resolving the underlying causes of discomfort or injury. Thank you John for making me the best runner I can be.

I went in because of severe pain in my left shoulder and neck. I’ve been enduring it for 9 months hoping it would stop hurting on its own. The pain made simple tasks like putting a shirt on or taking it off extremely painful. And I could not sleep on my left side. I had my first visit for a 90 minute massage with John and I went from a level 9 in pain to a 2-3 after that first session and four days later I’m still feeling better! I’m hoping the next massage will help even more. I highly recommend.

After moving from California to beautiful Oregon my body was pretty taxed... I tried a few masseuses with high reviews, but they did not seem to understand the needs of my body - knots in my shoulders and neck, tightness through the right side of my body and other areas.. they rubbed oil/lotion on me and I was left with no relief. Then, I found John after reading some of his positive reviews.. I have had 100's of massages around the world, I even managed a high end wellness center in Asia (so I got lots of massages from our employees) and I would say that John's has been the BEST I have ever experienced! he really understands the body and works on areas that I only dreamed of releasing as they were so tight..He is able to apply soft or strong pressure and good control. I decided to go to him once a week for four weeks to really heal the areas that needed it.. And, now I feel healthy and comfortable in my body again. I will go to John once a month for upkeep. I also took my Mom and she loved his massage as well.. He is professional, understands the body, and LOVES giving massage. If you haven't tried him out you must..

Let me say people I did a lot of research within 100 mile radius looking for someone who knows exactly what they're doing. I read a lot of great reviews on John and wanted to surprise my wife with a relaxing day starting with an hours massage. And let me say our guy John did not disappoint. My wife says he has the hands of God himself 😂😂😂 he's so professional and curious. I already booked my mom and sister for a session

Today I had the pleasure of getting a massage done by John. And let me tell you what. It was excellent. He was so professional and you can easily see how much passion and love he has for massage therapy. As soon as you walk into the room, the stress you have been carrying lifts off your shoulders. From the elephants and cute giraffes, to the calm music and dancing light of the candles you know that you have made the right choice by coming here. The prices are reasonable and the experience is so genuine that you know when you leave that you will definitely be coming back.

John did a beyond fantastic job! He was so polite, professional and best of all made sure to meet all my needs. His ability to listen to my body and tell me problem areas I didn’t even realize I had just goes to show how great he is at his profession. First time and won’t be my last!

Had my first massage from Shauna today. She did not disappoint! My regular place didn't reopen after the shutdown and I had to find somewhere new. After reading her reviews I scheduled a massage. Within the first 3 minutes I was in heaven. I already have my next appointment scheduled 🙂
