I really liked this place, so it’s honestly disappointing to have to write this. I’m sharing my experience in case it helps prevent something similar from happening to someone else.
During my pedicure, an elderly lady accidentally cut my skin while working on my cuticles. It was very painful and started bleeding—I even screamed. She tapped my shoulder afterward but didn’t say anything. I took that as her way of apologizing, especially since she may not feel comfortable speaking English.
Later, another staff member who speaks English came over to finish my shellac. It seemed like she knew what had happened since she spoke with the elderly lady in their language, but nothing was explained or said to me.
At checkout, I was charged the full amount without any acknowledgment of the situation. I would have been totally understanding and still willing to pay and tip if someone had just apologized or explained what happened. That lack of communication is what really disappointed me.
I had to go straight to work in sneakers, and it was pretty painful even after using antibiotic ointment and a bandage. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
I’m sorry to leave a review like this, but I wanted to be honest about my experience.
