I love AJ’s Wicked Salon!! I have been going to this salon for probably 7 years now and refuse to go anywhere else. They are super accommodating and all the stylist are so welcoming and easygoing. They also listen to what you want and give suggestions when they feel it’s necessary and it will help improve your hair health and your beauty needs. AJ’s is such a fun environment and if you want they even offer that adult beverage ;) and of course your other refreshments while you are getting your services done. Highly recommend!!

I’ve been seeing Hanna for several months now and couldn’t be happier with her work. She is extremely precise when cutting my bob haircut. On top of that, she’s a fantastic communicator and asks all the right questions to help me achieve the look I am going for.

I had my first visit with AJ’s Wicked today and couldn’t recommend them more! I put off cutting my hair for three years and was really nervous visiting someone new, but Molly was amazing. She was great at talking me through what I wanted and what would work for me within that. And she helped with showing me how to style my new cut. She completely understood the vibe I was going for, and I am so happy I finally found a stylist I can trust in town! I highly recommend and will definitely be back. I was a little intimidated with how long it has been, but everyone at AJ’s was incredibly nice and it was a great experience.

Hanna is so sweet and did an amazing job, straight up miracle worker. I came in with a bad canvas, washout dye that decided to stay in my hair after multiple attempts to remove it and a couple color removers later, left me with black and orange spotty weird patterns in my hair. After consulting about the process she assured me we could fix it and so I trusted her completely. I also told her I wanted a more alternative style like long shag or wolf cut a fun style with short layers for my waves or if I straighten it. She also accomplished that no problem at all. It was a long day but I enjoyed it immensely and felt well taken care of, plus my hair feels better after everything than it did before!!! No over processing damage at all! I will be going back!

If you’re looking for a girl’s girl to do your hair: GO TO TAYA! - kindness/compassion - Glossy bright color - Careful cuts - Individualized service - Hair advice Taya has been doing my hair for over two years. She has always taken time to listen to what I want, and she DELIVERS. Every. Time. But more than that - Taya has always listened to my concerns about my hair texture and health, and she’s always willing to give advice and walk me through care routines. I normally get blonde highlights - Taya puts a gloss on my hair, and I ALWAYS get compliments for days after I get my hair done. (I’m not exaggerating). Taya has always taken into account my hair texture, health, thickness, and overall balance with the rest of my face shape. I can tell that she puts an immense amount of care into strategically picking a color and where she places it. I have requested many different hair cuts to try (straight down, bangs, face framing, curtain bangs) I have had my favorites, but Taya takes extreme care in making sure every cut is tailored to me. She delivers beautifully every time. More than all of that: Taya is a true girl’s girl. She’s always kind, she talks highly about the people around her, she’s always smiling, and she gives compliments freely and sincerely. She’ll make you look and feel so beautiful! I truly cannot recommend Taya enough! AJ’s wicked salon has been a great facility every time I visit. It is clean and welcoming, and the music selection is perfect. The staff are always friendly, and they interact with each other and customers kindly. I have never had a bad experience. It is in the heart of downtown, so it’s great to give yourself a little time before or after your service to go to the coffee shop or antique store across the street.

Leigh over at Wicked changed my life! She was able to work with my couple of inches long hair (I had just shaved my head a couple of months prior) to give me the extensions I didn’t think were possible. She works with you and makes your goals achievable somehow. Love this salon!

I have been coming to AJ’s Wicked Salon since 2019. I met Sonja during my first visit and have never looked back. I change my mind constantly about my hair. My mom did hair when I was younger so I was always allowed to express myself through cuts, colors, perms, etc. Sonja is always open to my next hair idea and always honest about what we can achieve or how to get there. I appreciate her so much for that. The other staff is always so kind and welcoming when you step in the door. Truly love this place.

Ive been coming to see Taya for the last three years at AJ's Wicked Salon and have always been amazed with the results. This girl knows what's she's doing and is the sweetest person ever. The salon also has a great vibe in general and I don't see myself ever going anywhere else!

This review is soooo long overdue. I have been receiving services at Wicked for years. EVERYBODY is great ALL THE TIME. From the minute you walk in, and they greet you by name, everyone is friendly and helpful. I see Brooke. She is very talented and knows her trade. They are definitely worth the booking out time. On time appts, friendly atmosphere, highly skilled artisans with updated training and great downtown location. Call. Now. Book that appt. You deserve it.

Since I know the owner likes to comment, my appointment was for Callie Garcia on June 20, 2024. I had an unpleasant experience with Lee and will not be scheduling any future appointments with Wicked. My hair did not come out as expected. Although I had plenty of chances to advocate for myself, I'd rather not. Lee was rude and I just wanted the haircut/style to be over. I will establish a new salon elsewhere to have my hair fixed. For the past three years, I have been growing my hair out. I went to Great Clips for trims. After explaining this, there were many unnecessary comments. Like, "Because you went to Great Clips." With a snarky tone. Talking down other haircutters, especially considering the wonderful ones I've met at Great Clips is not a good look.
