A massage so good I told my masseuse I loved her! (Thanks Jo) Had a couples massage with Jo and Jessica, this was a redo massage and this was awesome. Got in on the same day and we were treated very well. Our masseuses came in and asked us questions about pressure, any pain locations and other questions to cater to us. Everything we said, they did it. My problem area got worked and felt so much better after. We came in a few days after a wedding weekend and it was the perfect way to relax. The couples experience here is insanely cool, I hope they continue doing it! Flowers, rose petals, NA mimosas, cheesecake!! What not to love. Right after my massage I told a lot of my family and the wedding couple to come here. Glad we gave them another shot because this was a wonderful massage for us both!

Tonight I had an amazing 45-minute massage at Tranquility Therapeutic Massage & Spa. I’ve been there before, but this was my first time with Mackenzie M, and I highly recommend her! She was friendly, professional, and did an excellent job addressing areas of tension. I left feeling incredibly relaxed, refreshed, and like a new woman. If you’re looking for a great massage experience, she is definitely worth booking with!

I tried a new massage modality called Ashiatsu with Michele and let me tell you what…. it was the best massage of my entire life!! The deepest, most luxurious massage experience with very effective fluid type movements which provided deeper work into the tissues without the pain ya can sometimes get with a standard massage. Michele’s ashiatsu massage therapy work helped me tremendously in managing my serious chronic pain and I will definitely be back for more. I also appreciate how effective this modality is for my lymphatic system. This is a highly-skilled technique and not every massage therapist is able to provide. I trust Michele for her talent and level of skill.

Kaiti is wonderful. She creates such a calm, kind, and comfortable atmosphere. She asked what bothered me and put special care and focus on those spots. She also found problem points without me telling her. She does amazing work - she did something miraculous to my bum shoulder that made me feel like a new woman! The office is so cozy and welcoming. Everyone is very friendly. Kaiti has done a prenatal massage for me and a Swedish, and both times it was JUST what I needed. It's incredible what a little bit of knowledgeable pressure can do! Tranquility, and Kaiti, have a lifelong client in me 🫶🏼

The massage therapist I saw was top notch! Unfortunately, the receptionist ruined the overall experience. I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment, and I was greeted with “you’re early” in a snide tone. She acted like I was inconveniencing her by showing up early. After the appointment, was the first I had heard that I would have to pay a 3.5% fee to use my credit card, that really deflated my blissful zen feeling after my massage. I mentioned to the receptionist that they should really let customers know that when booking. I told her I hadn’t seen that on their website and no one mentioned it to me when I originally called to book. Her response, “well, everyone charges for that now.” Not only is that not true (I had a massage elsewhere in SF and didn’t get charged an extra cc fee) but it is 0.5%-1.5% more than I have seen at other businesses that pass that fee onto their customers. But what really got me was her rude attitude and making me feel like I was annoying her. Maybe she was having a bad day, but that is not how I expected to feel when entering and leaving a spa. I gave 3 stars for overall experience since my therapist was amazing! The poor customer service from the receptionist really brought down the overall ambiance for me. Bethany was born to be a massage therapist! She is kind and compassionate, and knows how to make someone feel truly cared for. This was the best massage I have ever had, and she truly tailored it to my needs. This is the first time in 7+ years that I have been pain free in my neck and right shoulder. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I wanted to give Tranquility 5 stars, but I really didn’t like how the receptionist made me feel. So, between my 1 star experience with the receptionist and 5 star experience with Bethany, it averaged out to 3 stars.

*Edited from previous review* Still giving this place 5 stars. I've been going here for a few years now, and I can not say anything bad about Tranquility. Ashley is my favorite! She listens, understands my massage needs, and does the very best. The owner, Teresa, is amazing, too. She's so knowledgeable. Scheduling a massage is still quick and easy with the online booking, and I appreciate that I don't need to pay ahead of my appointment. Lastly, I love the new location! There is plenty of parking, spacious waiting room, and calming/relaxing rooms. Wow, is all I can say! Keep it up, guys!

Beautiful, tranquil setting and excellent massage therapists. My therapist was Bethany and I can't recommend her highly enough. She worked so hard to release the tightness in my upper back and I have felt so much better ever since.

I’ve seen multiple therapists over the last few years and while I like them all, Mackenzie fits me best. She’s so personable and genuinely listens to you and cares about your pain and problems. I always look forward to my next visit!
