Mind-boggling lack of basic knowledge—front desk is costing their own LMTs money I called Elk Rock Wellness for the first time to book a specific modality—neuromuscular trigger point therapy (and potentially deep tissue)—for an upcoming Saturday. What followed was one of the most unprofessional and confusing front-desk interactions I have ever experienced. The receptionist was completely unfamiliar with standard massage terminology. She didn't know what neuromuscular therapy was, stumbled over "trigger point," and didn't seem to understand that they are closely related modalities. Despite representing a large clinic with numerous LMTs, she could not tell me if any therapist on staff specialized in this work, nor could she confirm schedule availability for the upcoming Saturday. Her solution was to tell me she "might" call me back the next day after checking. Asking a potential new client to wait over 24 hours just to find out if a clinic is even capable of performing a requested service is entirely unacceptable. When I explained that I would have to take my business elsewhere if basic scheduling and modality questions couldn't be answered, she seemed completely baffled. What kills me is that her lack of training directly hurts the therapists working there. By being completely unable to sell their services or book a basic appointment, she essentially reached right into an LMT's pocket and snatched a $120 session away from them. I will be taking my business to a clinic that actually understands basic massage therapy terminology and values a client's time. Avoid this place unless you already have a direct line to a specific therapist, because the front desk is actively driving new business out the door.

I love getting massages here. It is my favorite place. All the massage therapists are amazing! The atmosphere is absolutely relaxing when you walk in and the room is quiet and all set up very comfortable. The massage beds are very nice and I love that you are tucked in the blankets and the massage works wonders. I am prone to migraines so this place works well for me.

If I could give 100 STARS I would! I have been coming here since they opened. I can’t recommend this massage spa enough. From the moment you walk in, you feel calm, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. *Update* Elk Rock Wellness was misleading in their language when they told me over the phone I could "save money by using insurance instead of paying cash by billing for a medical massage" at no time did they ask me if "I had met my deductible." I feel that encouraging me to use insurance and not warning me that it could cost MORE if I had not met my deducible was misleading and detrimental. *Original* I want to begin by stating the quality of the two massages I received from Elk Rock Wellness were excellent. The reason I have chosen to write a two star review is as follows: Elk Rock Wellness misrepresented their billing charges to me when I was making the choice to pay with cash vs go through my insurance. I was told that if I gave over my insurance information they would call my insurance and see if I was covered for massage services and how much it would be. The information I received from elk rock wellness was that "yes, my insurance covers x amounts of visits per year and that going with the insurance option would be much cheaper than simply paying cash." I was impressed they had the option to even call insurance on my behalf and proceeded with that option given the information I was provided. Two massages later and give or take a month I received my first bill. $122.40 with Insurance already having deducted $37.60 for a 60 minute massage. This is when I made my first call to Elk Rock Wellness. The cash price for 60 minutes is $90, which I was happy to have paid - except I was told if they billed my insurance it would be LESS than this. A month after the first bill came the second bill for the second massage came and had the same amount charged. I have paid MORE with insurance than I would have with cash at time of service. I have made multiple calls to Elk Rock Wellness seeking clarification on why I was given false information and asking if there is anything they can do to make this right. Regretfully it's been over a month since they said they would "call me back with a solution" and over a week since I left my last message asking to speak with them about this.

Been many times, always an excellent experience! Jenn was absolutely fantastic. She focused the entire session on my neck and lower back, where I’ve been dealing with a pinched nerve and a herniated disc. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and really targeted the problem areas. I left feeling excellent and noticeably relieved. Highly recommend her!

The location is lovely. With all the trees around the building it really feels like a whole new environment, not an office next to a freeway, but a hidden spot of lushness and tranquility. The lobby has good, active energy, while the hallway to the massage rooms very nicely transitions to the warm and low-lit ambience of the individual spaces. Jessica was very good at making me feel relaxed in our session. She was markedly skilled with the hand massage and introduced me to cupping. She chose good ambient music, was very gentle, and quiet, much like myself. I left feeling loose and standing up straight for the first time in a long time.

I highly recommend elk rock wellness. It is such a comforting environment. I highly recommend Ines, she always listens to me about what is hurting and tailors the massage to help me. Ines has made me feel so comfortable with massages, I now get one every month.

This was my first time visiting Elk Rock and was a gift from a very special friend. The location is great, and the ambience and cleanliness of the clinic was spot on! Daniela was spectacular; she was very soft spoken and welcoming. She made sure the pressure was what I was looking for in the areas most needed. I would go back in a heartbeat and hope so real soon and would love an hour + half massage next time.
