I was informed by Lux Spa in Youngsville that I would need to speak directly with the owner regarding a scheduling issue. I was also told that they only accept VA-paid appointments on certain days, not during busy holidays per their policy. Before leaving my massage appointment last week, I scheduled and confirmed my next visit. However, yesterday, nearly a week later, I received a call asking me to reschedule because of Mother’s Day weekend, as they expected to be fully booked. This was confusing, as my appointment had already been confirmed. When I asked for clarification, I was told it is their policy not to schedule VA-paid patients during busy periods. This gives me the impression that certain clients are prioritized over veterans, despite the fact that I am an established patient who needs consistent care. After expressing my concerns, I was advised to speak with the owner. When the owner contacted me, the conversation was disappointing. She reiterated the policy in a raised and dismissive tone and made a comment that she “didn’t have to lick my boots” simply because I am a veteran. I found this response both unprofessional and disrespectful. Not all veterans expect special treatment, but we do deserve to be treated with respect and fairness. Many veterans already face challenges accessing consistent care, and experiences like this only add to that frustration. Because of this interaction, I will not be returning. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration moving forward.

Loved the atmosphere, super relaxing. The massage therapist I got was also really great. Only rating a 3 because I was told to arrive at 10, I arrived at 10, they had me wait in the lobby for a bit then fill out some paper work. By the time I got to use the bathroom and then in a massage room it was 10:20. My massage was over at 11. I was still charged for a full hour. I don’t get a lot of time to dedicate for massages, but with having a lot of back spasms and aches that I disclosed, I was hoping that I would have a full hour and a massage therapist that would be able to work out the knots and tension. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case for me. I’ve heard great things about them, and I did hope to hear from owner before I posted a review. Just know they’re busy, and apparently your massage time does start when you walk through the doors!

Lux Spa, Thank you so much. My husband has been suffering terribly with sciatic pain for almost three weeks. During that time, he was getting maybe two hours of sleep each night because the pain became even worse when he laid down or even sat. He was completely exhausted and worn down. After his massage with you yesterday, he slept through the entire night for the first time in three weeks. That kind of relief felt nothing short of amazing for him. We are incredibly grateful. Thank you for your skill, care, and the comfort you brought when he truly needed it.

So glad I followed Lorin to this spa! Amazing experience beginning to end. Smells absolutely wonderful and it is decorated so beautifully. Had a foot detox and a facial today and can’t wait to do both again. Make an appointment with Lorin. You will be so glad you did. Five big stars.

Wow, one of the best massages I’ve ever had was from Courtney. She has a firm touch and applies some chiropractic techniques. I came in tense with a strained voice and left feeling loose and had my voice back.

Great atmosphere for relaxation and healing! The music/scents are amazing! The tables are the most comfortable I've been on. Ive had several massages here and the past 2 have been with Candice. She takes her time, gives you just the pressure you ask for, and tells you what is needed when you are done. Will continue to go here when the need arises! Thank you for being a place of healing!

It should totally be declared law that total body massages are mandatory for life! Atmosphere was perfect, staff made sure I was comfortable from the moment I walked in the door. Tasha gave me the most amazing facial and tape replaced me in preparation for my massage which were both top notch!! Something I never knew I needed will definitely be a staple for longevity.

We have been coming here for a couple of years now, everyone is always so friendly! The atmosphere is nice, relaxing and clean. Today, I was in pain before my appt and left feeling brand new!! Monica greeted me with a smile (like always) and made sure I was satisfied with everything. Brandon really went the extra mile today with my massage. He is professional and very informative. You can tell this career is his passion and he cares about his clients. After receiving the best massage I have ever had, he even gave me a few tips and tricks to help manage pain in between massage appointments. I cannot recommend him enough!

Best Spa in Lafayette parish! The facility is gorgeous and had a 'lux'urious ambiance! Their massage therapists are highly trained, educated, and knew exactly what I needed! The owners are a fabulous duo that truly care about their clientele. I've found my new spa home!

Lux Spa is great! I get a deep tissue massage here regularly, and my wife has gotten a facial here and loved it. Everyone at Lux is always so friendly and helpful. It is usually very easy to schedule an appointment, even if it is a bit last-minute. Also, if you sign up for their newsletter, it includes a different set of deals every week. The prices are already fair, so getting around $20 off a massage is a real bargain.

A+ customer service! I called for a 1 hour deep tissue massage for my husband who was in a lot of pain and they went out of their way to get us in that same day! Bailey was his therapist and she did a fabulous job! He is feeling so much better today and we are so grateful! Thank you!
