I had an absolutely wonderful experience here and am confident in saying that Alpine Spa is a MUST when you’re in Leavenworth. I was welcomed so warmly by the front desk receptionist, who guided me through the check in process and who took so much time and care in ensuring I knew where the locker room and relaxation room were prior to my massage. The locker room and relaxation room were immaculately clean and the robe provided was clean and comfortable. The locker room also had an impressive amount of amenities - body wash, lotion, hair ties, etc. Sandra (she goes by Christian fyi) gave me an absolutely phenomenal massage. I booked a 90 minute deep tissue massage. Christian asked me important questions prior to the massage, and her expertise and professionalism showed in every single thing she did, including her wonderful massage techniques. I came in feeling sore and overworked, and left feeling pain-free and completely peaceful. Thank you so much to the hard working and clearly dedicated staff of Alpine Spa for everything you did for an excellent experience! I’ll be back and hopefully soon!

I was looking forward to supporting the spa during my visit. Unfortunately, I was informed at the front desk that the spa has been closed because there have been no recent service requests. I was also told that the manager who oversees the spa had just gone on leave after working six weeks straight, and that the manager on duty did not have access to the spa to reopen it. The front desk conversation became somewhat defensive when I asked about availability, which made the situation a bit uncomfortable. I left feeling concerned about both the availability of spa services and the workload being placed on the team. I hope the staff are able to get the support they need and that the spa will be operating again in the future, as I would still love to return and enjoy the hotel and its services at a later date.

I was staying at the Icicle resort M-W, and wanted a couples massage. So, I booked the couples 90 minute massage package for noon on Monday, before check in time because the spa is not open Tuesday/Wed. For the 90 minute package, we received less than 60 minutes of actual massage time- I have the time stamped pictures to prove. We arrived for our massage, and for the price the whole experience was a let down. We were told to go into bathroom, dress down and put on a robe then wait in the room down the hall. The room was a little cold, and we waited about 15 minutes for our massage persons to come and take us to the massage room. They got us set up with a warm foot soak and left the room for 15 minutes. When they came back they dried off our feet, asked to get on the massage tables and they’d be right back. The massages were okay. My husband asked for a deep tissue, but he didn’t get that. We both got more of the relaxation massage. Then we were done. When we went to pay, I mentioned I had a 20% off. The staff checking us out asked for the coupon, I explained I that I was checking in after, so I didnt have the coupon. So because I didn’t have the coupon I could receive the 20%. Fine- of course once I checked in they handed me the 20% off- it did me no good now. Overall for the price, not worth it. There is no sauna or steam room, no showers, no extras for this spa (at least none we were made aware of) It’s just a massage. When I think spa, I’ve been to CDA resort, Davenport Hotel, Habitude Spa- drinks offered, sauna room, nice showers.

Sandra gave the best massage I've ever had!!! I slept funny in my tent while camping and was able to book an appointment with her that day. This was my first time coming in and the staff was very accommodating to my stiff neck. They recommended services for me and made scheduling a breeze. Sandra chatted with me at the start of my appointment to better understand the pain I had in my neck. She decided it was best for me to do a deep tissue and cupping massage since I couldn't move my head to one side. She also took note of my sprained wrist and made sure to be gentle. She was very communicative during the entire massage - asking if I was ok with the pressure, checking in to see where my pain was and what range of motion I had (which was very minimal), and giving me a heads up with what she was going to do next. She customized the service for me so that the only focus was where I wanted/needed help, which I've never had happen in a massage. Highly recommend going and asking for Sandra! She'll take care of you!

Emily is a great massage therapist! Very nice experience overall. They give you slippers and a robe for comfort, I would suggest that they get new robes that are not so heavy. And cloth slippers instead of plastic. I would definitely recommend this spa and I will be back.

My issue with Icicle Village Alpine spa. This was by far the worst massage I’ve ever had in my life. She didn’t spend any time on my problem areas which I clearly pointed out before starting. She was literally all over the place massaging areas for only seconds before moving to another area. This was the only massage I have had where I left more stressed out than when I came in. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and she felt bad the rest of the day because she booked it for me. Aside from that the fact they nickel and dime you for everything makes it even worse. When we booked the massage they told us when we arrive tell the therapist what type of massage we like. Just to find out that all massages are Swedish and there was an up charge on the spot for everything else. This is the only place I’ve ever been to that advertised a “90 a min massage” but it included a lot of unnecessary stuff that wasn’t a person actually massaging you. This was a glorified 60 min massage with very mediocre services. I just feel like they are very miss leading and to make it worse spending a lot of money for such a terrible experience. Though the room was great this experience messed everything up for me.

I had a fantastic experience at this spa. Diana, my massage therapist, was amazing! She was professional, attentive, and made me feel completely relaxed throughout the session. I left feeling refreshed and recharged. I really enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

I had my first ever massage and facial there. My husband and I got the couples massage during our anniversary trip. Everyone was very nice, and the massage felt amazing. The facial was also great! My skin felt so good, and my pores have never looked so minimized. I really like the products they recommended for me, I'm going to be repurchasing the full sizes when I run out!

We did a couples massage, they were very flexible on booking different massages for each of us and just scheduling them together. Especially important right now as I'm pregnant. The facilities were very nice, and this may seem like a minor detail, but the pillows and sheets were extremely comfortable (especially important for a pregnancy massage!). Our therapists were both excellent. I highly recommend it. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area again.

If I am rating the booking process and management, I would give the Alpine Spa one star. If I am rating the services I received from Christian, I'd be leaving 5 stars. I originally booked services for myself, and two family members. It was incredibly confusing because I kept referring to the packages (The Winter Wonderland and The Great Blue Heron) and the gal on the phone kept referring to the actual services which did not seem to match the website description of the packages. It was like she didn't know what was included in the package. Due to horrible travel conditions, my family members could not make it to Leavenworth. I called one week in advance to cancel their services. Again, the gal on the phone made it extremely complicated. I was very clear but had to explain myself several times. When I got off the phone, my husband made a comment questioning why that was so difficult. When I arrived, the girl at the front desk could not find my appointment. I explained what had happened with my family not making it and me being VERY clear on the phone I was not cancelling mine. She went in the back twice to speak with who I know now to be Donna Bartleson, the spa manager. After the back and forth, Donna comes out and says firmly, "It's fine." It's fine? Your staff made a mistake and you are acting like it's my fault? No apology. No explanation of what was to happen next. I waited in the lobby for far too long watching 3 others move into their services. Finally, I asked a therapist what was going on. She checked and let me know my first service would start at 1:45. My appointment was set for 12:30 with a steam room start. Once I got into the massage room, Christian couldn't have done a better job. The massage and facial was perfect. She was a great communicator and gave an amazing facial and massage. She started by telling me to think about something I am thankful for. I was thankful Donna was not my manager. Thank you Christian. Donna, someone needs to brush you up on customer service skills.
