I have been frequenting here for a couple of years and have enjoyed the majority of the massage therapists that I have booked. It is a safe space and I always feel recharged and relaxed after my appointments. Many thanks to all the professionals who work here!

Update: The owner reached out to me directly and addressed the situation with the therapist to get their point of view. They are refunding my copay and tip since I didn't have an enjoyable experience. The outreach was appreciated. ---------------- I hesitated writing a review. My overall experience at Vancouver Massage has been pretty good. I've seen three massage therapists so far and will continue trying different therapists until I find the right fit. My review is mostly related to my latest massage experience. I don't want to say the therapists name because I do not want to publicly shame, but it was the worst massage I've ever had in my life. There really wasn't any massage happening, more hard pressing and stretching of my arms and legs. My problem areas weren't addressed in a way that one would expect. The biggest issue with my last massage is that I can confidently say that I'm pretty sure the therapist has severe sleep apnea. Okay, you're probably wondering what that has to do with my massage. Stay with me... massages environments are typically relaxing, but this therapist made heavy breathing and snoring noises the entire time, which kept me from relaxing. That's still not my main issue. I'm pretty certain he fell asleep multiple times during my massage, as there were times were movement on his end completely stopped and the snoring increased, and then there were sudden jerk movements when he woke up. Picture when you accidentally fall asleep and your body makes jerking movements - or similar to when you're dreaming about falling and wake up. I cannot prove that the therapist fell asleep since I was mostly face down, and when I was face up I kept my eyes closed, but from the experience and my educated guess, I'm positive that is what happened. On top of that, the snoring and no actual massage techniques to address my pain and tightness, I absolutely would not recommend that specific massage therapist to anyone. Ever. Overall, At Vancouver Massage is welcoming and the massage therapists I've seen are friendly, as well as front desk staff, but my latest experience was really bothersome. If I didn't have insurance coverage and had to pay out of pocket, I would have been even more upset. I only left a tip because that obligation many of us feel to tip for services, but honestly wish I hadn't for this recent experience. As I said, I will try another therapist next time and hope for a much better experience before I decide if I should search for a new establishment.

I've been going here through my insurance the last few months and this place is amazing! Sarah and Karissa are super professional and do such a great job! I've been feeling much more loose and relaxed since going here! Check it out!

Beth is amazing. I always feel 100x more better after visiting her. Each touch, you can tell, is intentional and full of care. So happy I found you Beth. You find all my knots immediately and intuitively know how to clear and readjustment me. You’re amazing at your craft!

This place was above and beyond, Jean helped me find coverage and a massage and went above and beyond what I'm used to, thank you my migraine went away both from the massage and feeling the support, they accepted my Medicaid benefits which I haven't found yet someone who could help me navigate, this has made care I really needed accessible. My massage from Kathyryn was exceptional, her presence was warm, inviting, and she made me feel so comfortable with a soft presence and firm thorough massage. My migraine has not returned. They also had a beautiful selection of affordable, ethical, and mindful eco therapy products that have further been helping me on my healing journey, 10 stars of I could! I do recommend! They added a first time selection of cupping and hot stones and had so many really useful techniques as optional add ones which was so cool.

Beth is amazing! She has a way of relaxing you, while also being intentional about your problem areas. I have returned to her many times and feel she has a real intuitive gift. . I recommended her to a friend of mine who also loved her.

I’ve been to this shop several times and I love their different therapist, but Karissa is amazing! Listen to her clients and the entire massage was exactly what I needed. She releases knots and I didn’t know I had. Take my money!

I got a massage with beth and discovered knots and tight areas I didn’t even know were bothering me in the first place! I left that massage feeling like a floating noodle :) She was very intuitive and grounding in her practice with very magically hands and I cant wait to go back!

Updating my review — After my initial experience, the owner reached out immediately, refunded my session, and invited me back. I truly appreciated how professionally and kindly everything was handled. That level of care says a lot about a business. I returned for another session and had a completely different experience — it was wonderful. The massage table wasn’t squeaky whatsoever, which made it so much easier to fully relax. The masseuse was personable, polite, and made me feel comfortable throughout the session. The room had exactly the ambiance I was looking for — calm, inviting, and peaceful. I’m really glad I gave them another chance and would definitely go again. …….. So, I really wanted to love this place because the location is awesome and it started out fine. But as soon as I was led downstairs, it got a bit odd. The massage room was in a basement-like area, and the vibe was just not what you’d expect from a relaxing massage. Instead of a peaceful, dimly lit atmosphere, there was a giant bright lamp glaring in the corner that made it anything but zen- when he asked me to turn around and lay on my back my eyes were blinded and it hurt I had to ask him to turn the light off. Which finale made it bearable with the little room light we originally should have had. But Here’s the kicker- the massage table was really wobbly and creaky—like, every single time I moved, it squeaked so loudly it drowned out the calming music.. for AN HOUR! It was super distracting and made it impossible to relax. The therapist himself was actually skilled, but he was rushing through the end, and eventually started to hurt from the fast rubbing which just added to the feeling that I wasn’t really getting the relaxing experience I came for and replaced it with irritability. And to top it off… When I mentioned all this at the end, the receptionist said, “Oh yeah, we know about that room.” Which just made me wonder why they’d put anyone in there if they knew it was a problem. In short, I wasted $125- I’m still not feeling great. So if anyone has any massage suggestions for me to go to as I’m new to the area…..I would appreciate it. I really hope they fix those issues because this place has potential, but that experience was just not it.
