I purchased a 75 minute deep tissue and the 30 minute foot soak. The 75 minute deep tissue was great, but the foot soak was not as advertised. It was supposed to be a 5 minute soak followed by exfoliating scrubs and a massage and hot towel. Instead I sat on the edge of a bed with my feet in a tub of hot essential oil water for 20 minutes, and then went straight to the bed for the 75 minute massage. I also was left alone in the room and told to tell her when I was ready to start, meaning I had to dry off my feet and get up to tell her I was done "soaking" and then she asked me to move to the bed for the massage. Which, again, was really great. But there was no extra foot massage and there was definitely no exfoliating and oil/lotion massage followed by a hot towel. Trying to contact the manager/owner for a refund of that service but not having any luck with their website, so I'm coming here to hopefully get their attention...

I am sad to have to give a lower rating because the ladies were nice but the treatment was almost not worth the money. I recieved a facial, prenatal massage, and a foot massage. The facial was wonderful! Had my skin glowing for days. But the other services were subpar. Foot massage: was more like a foot wash. She put my feet into a small washbin I barely fit in (I am a shoe size 7.5 to 8 which is avg for women). I couldnt sit back and relax in the chair because it was more like an office chair than a foot soak chair and my feet would dangle. The therapist didnt adjust the chair either which had me punching over the wash bin. Then for 20 mins she wiped my feet with crushed rose petals and very rough body scrub gloves... one hand at a time. She never picked up my foot and actually scrubbed while massaging like I think she would. Then when I had 10 min left she asks me to soak and she will be back but since I paid for 30 min I was eager to get to the actual massage portion. During which she rubbed my fert and lower legs for 5 min each section then we moved to the next service. I feel like I get way more out of a $60 pedicure then I did out of this. When I get those I have a proper chair and a focused 20 min massage and 10 min actual scrub... I am still unsure what I paid $70 for. Prenatal massage: the therapist had a VERY light hand and moved sporadically around my body. It felt more like she was rubbing lotion on my skin rather than a massage, and because she was sporadically moving around my body she did not actually focus on any one problem area. I thought maybe because they didnt have the actual prenatal massage wedge most places use but when I went to my regular massage therapist she explained that you certainly can find focal points and use proper pressure on the side it just sounded like my therapist didnt know how to do it properly. When I left Island Vitality I didnt feel like my muscles got any knots out and had to book a service with my regular therapist right away. What made me even sadder is the therapist at Island didnt even ask if the pressure was good or bad, making me feel the whole time she was warming up, when in actuality she was doing the "full service". My husband got a great massage on the opposite end. Even got hot towels and stones (which I got none of). I just think the staff needs to get a little more training in proper prenatal massage and needs to upgrade their foot massage set up and rethink how they do that service.

We booked a couples massage with Keith and Maliki. They were both very calm and kind as they walked us back to the room and asked for our preference. It was so soothing and relaxing, it was hard not to doze off. Keith really gos the knots out of my shoulders and made me feel light as a feather by the time the hour was up. I recommend extending the time, I could have laid there for hours!

Such a wonderful experience with such kind people, Danielle did amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful, there was communication throughout the whole process which was so appreciated. Will be coming back every time we visit.

For a nurturing and restorative massage, look no further. Danielle is intuitive, knowledgeable, and skillful, weaving hot towels and stones seamlessly into each massage. In 35 years of receiving massages, I find hers to be the most therapeutic.

Three of us planned a trip to Friday Harbor earlier this year and booked 3 massage appts for the day. Appts make earlier this year and confirmed back to us more than once. Hours before the massages they moved one of three to the next day at which time we would have already left the island. When two of us showed up at our confirmed time they had no record nor time to do the massages. Understand that things happened but they went one step further by making it sound to us that we were the problem. Would not even let me finish a sentence. So not only did we not get our massages but we were treated extremely rudely. Warning to anyone considering booking a massage with Lavenderia….don’t do it. Would give this zero stars if that was an option.

The name is changing to “Island Vitality” but had a 60 minute massage with Laura Bell which was the best massage I’ve had. It was full body, combo of therapeutic and relaxation and awesome! Highly recommend.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our massages here! They were professional and detailed in their work. The room was comfortable and soothing. They also took time to accommodate our late arrival (due to a canceled ferry sailing), which was super appreciated! Highly recommend.

Amazing massage and a cute little studio. I booked a couples massage and Richard was my therapist; he immediately made me feel comfortable and listened to my areas of need. He delivered constant, intuitive, confident pressure throughout my massage and I left feeling like a relaxed pile of mush. AKA he nailed it. This was absolutely one of the best 90min massages I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place for your next self-care day.
