My husband and I had been searching for a good massage therapist for over a year. We had a great one, but she retired (happy for her sad for us). We recently started going to Pat at Tonus and we have been very impressed! We are both athletes and Pat has been able to decrease levels of pain (past/current injuries) and increase our mobility. We highly reccomend Pat if you are looking for an effective massage from a professional and caring massage therapist! He is the best!

I’ve been seeing the same therapist (Wesley) for about two years now, and I can’t recommend him enough! His deep tissue massage technique is excellent—always targeting the right areas with just the right amount of pressure. On top of that, he’s incredibly friendly, making every visit enjoyable with great conversation. I’ve never had a single issue, and the entire staff is just as welcoming and professional.

This place is amazing! I recommend Tonus to all my people. Miriam is amazing - polite, professional, and has the hands of an angel. She really listens to you/your body and is accommodating for an exceptional experience. All the other staff members are very friendly! (I have not seen them for a massage). I would give 10 stars if I could.

I had two massages with the same person and had a pretty unfortunate experience. The massage was fine however the nonstop unnecessary and inappropriate conversations were unexceptable and when brought to the owner she responded that "he was a great therapist" and that "his culture is different, if i knew him you wouldn't be offended". Here's a quick list of our apparently "culturally appropriate" conversations during 2 sessions: • Soft parents don't know how to actually parent. Parents need to make sure their punishments hurt or they won't learn. Ou gotta beat them. Can't do timeouts cause they'll just have fun. • He asked me three times to agree that actions of a "lanky mexican" coworker were childish and i continued to respond that I couldn't answer that because I didn't have context to label it childish. • He told me a story about Black kids asking him why he's listening to rap in his car. And told me back in the day those kids wouldn't have gotten away with that. He said the "n" word 4 times during this story. And then complained that "they can call you a "n" but you can't call them that." • He said he didn't understand why one of my exercises for my anterior pelvic tilt was hip thrusts because "i know why men do those...but not women. You know, well, TMI, nevermind, but you know what i mean.. He then asked "ok google" why someone might fo hip thrusts as an exercise and it stated the reasons I had just listed. He said, "oh huh." • He walked behind me while I was paying and grabbed my shoulders unexpectedly without consent and massaged my shoulders. I was surprised and I don't agree that anyone should just have free range of my body if I'm still in the building especially after services are over. And he never asked. It made me uncomfortable. These are just inappropriate conversations that are not relevant to the service being provided. If the owner wants to push off any accountability onto someone else's "culture" then I guess any behavior is acceptable in the name of "culture". We are a multicultural home. But we still have standards and expectations of behavior. I'd assume as a business owner you also would have a work culture with expectations and guidelines that your staff follow. At first I wanted to just discuss the concerns with the owner but after the rushed conversation, invalidation of concerns, and excuses for their employee I decided to make a post in case anyone wants to avoid some unnecessary conversations while getting a massage.

I went there to use a Groupon. It was so good that I scheduled a monthly massage. I've had swelling in my legs and Wesley worked my legs really good and the swelling has gone down. He has a strong hand but always checks to make sure he wasn't using too much pressure. Great place!!! Happy customer here.

We love Tonus and Mariam so much. The environment is peaceful and relaxing. I feel myself starting to unwind the moment I walk through the door. My husband and daughter love it here too and we all look forward to our appointment. When I leave I am more limber, my joints move more smoothly and I have an all over feeling of wellness.

I would give zero stars if I could. I decided to try a new massage therapist in town, this was the only other place covered by my insurance. So, I scheduled a massage at the only time and day I could before the 4th of July holiday. I arrived 20 minutes early to fill out the paperwork that usually comes with a new care provider. There was nobody at the front desk, so I signed in, sat down, and filled out the form that was waiting. Another new patient came in about 5 minutes after I did. Someone came from the back, along with a patient who’s just been worked on. The other new patient in the waiting area was immediately acknowledged, I was not. No eye contact, no “how can I help you?”, nothing. The other new patient immediately had her paperwork and insurance information collected and was taken back for her massage. The woman that works here came back out to the desk area, messed around on her cell phone for a few minutes, still didn’t acknowledge my existence, and went in to go work on the other patient. Me? I’m sitting here, 20 minutes later, in an empty waiting room writing this review. Never. Coming. Back.

I have been a client of Tonus for years. I really like Tina, and started seeing her when they were in Maple Valley. All the therapists there are good. And pricing is very reasonable. I highly recommend.

The massage therapist was late to start off forbmy 1130 appt. Didn't Apologize or anything. With his coffee cup in hand. He did a good job. But I guess I'm used to being asked if the pressure was ok. He seemed kind of cocky and arrogant. Then finished my massage 5 min early. So instead of a 1 hour massage I got a 45 min massage. .. overall a good job and knowledgeable. But I could have gotten thebrrsr of my body massage in the 15 min I lost. If I would have been asked. I fell asleep and he chuckled and said I fell asleep with a deep tissue. Fyi. If it Was Deep, I wouldn't have fell asleep...

Shout out to Ayrton for being one of the best masseurs I've ever worked with. The interior needs a bit of maintenance and some small upgrades to keep elevate the ambiance and overall experience. But I'm giving 5 out of 5 for Ayrton
